How It Works

How It WorksOften times when I speak with potential clients there is an immediate connection and bond that allows both of us to discuss everything that comes to mind. Truly, a spectacular occurrence when this happens! :-D

However, there are certain topics that need to be addressed to ensure that we will communicate and collaborate effectively. This is precisely why I developed a consultation process. Put simply, it is a thorough procedure that addresses key areas in order for me to determine how best I can assist you, and if we will work exceptionally well together.  Plus, it will  allow the two of us to get to know each other on a much deeper level.

So you are prepared, the consultation process will require an investment of time, as well as openness and sincerity.  Like all Man and Stars How It Worksnew relationships, it takes the gift of time to find that “sweet spot.”  Once it’s found, we can make magic happen!

Throughout this process, essentially, we will learn more about each other and what makes us tick.  Also, I will learn what your direct and indirect needs are, your work style and an in-depth understanding of your business, coupled with your short and long-term goals. I also request that you come prepared with a list of topics and questions for an open forum type discussion.  Please be assured that anything discussed during the course of the consultation process or throughout our relationship will never be disclosed to any entity for any reason. You have MY word! Living with high INTEGRITY is my passion and guiding light.

Step #1 – Initial Consultation

During the initial consultation, we will get more acquainted with one another. This call will only take 20-30 minutes, tops.  :-D

We will learn more about our personalities and if we mesh well. My main goal is to learn about you and your business. Not only do I want to learn what your direct needs are, but I would also like to learn about you in greater depth. Topics such as where you are from, your interests and goals, any expectations, if you have worked with a virtual professional in the past, or if it is your first time collaborating virtually, and so on. Most importantly – What do you need to accomplish and what’s your deadlines?

This process allows for me to make better decisions and sound recommendations on the types of service you will most benefit from and how I can assist you, effectively and proactively.

My sincere hope is that you will receive some valuable insight into my world and how I operate.  Hopefully, you will learn more about the ever-evolving world of virtual assistance and online business management. Thus, resulting in greater awareness and understanding of your own needs, as well as, gain a more in depth understanding of working with a virtual business manager and the value that I offer. :-D

Step #2 – “Client Needs Assessment”

Once we make it past the initial consultation, the second step is my “Client Needs Assessment.”  I will send you my assessment document via email, or you can download it here (PVS_CLIENT NEEDS ASSESSMENT), re-save with your information and email it to me to INFO@PRIVADAVS.COM.  Don’t let this document scare you because of it’s length.  It’s designed to only take about 10 minutes to complete and is mostly check boxes. :-D

By design, this process will give me a preliminary idea of how best I can assist you.  In addition, it will help me determine how well we will work together and if my skills match your needs. :-D

After receiving your needs assessment, we will need to setup a 60-minute phone meeting to discuss your business, short/long-term goals and answer any questions you may have.

Please be sure to be specific with your needs and expectations. This will prove to be most beneficial for OUR partnership. Also, the more I know about you, the more I can anticipate your needs, and provide the best service to you and your business.  :-D

If you are unsure about your specific needs, I STRONGLY suggest that you keep a list for a week. Write down anything and everything that you are doing in your business. Once the list is complete, go through the list and identify the following types of tasks you:Question Mark 240x300 How It Works

  • Didn’t NEED to do?
  • Didn’t WANT to do?
  • Didn’t LIKE to do?
  • Items that you can DELEGATE?

Once you have your list, take a close look at it. If it seems you have enough tasks for someone to handle on a full-time basis, your need may be to hire someone full-time and a VA/OBM is probably not the right solution.

However, if you have enough on your list that can be handled on more of a part-time basis and not highly time sensitive, a VA/OBM would be a perfect option.

Step #3 – “The Partnership”

Once it’s mutually determined that OUR personalities mesh and we agree to start working together, we will have a final call that may take anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 1/2 hours, depending on your “Things Partnership 3 300x187 How It WorksThat Must Get Done” list.  During this call we will go over priorities, overall plan and strategy.  From this, together we will develop the first month’s action plan of everything to be accomplished with the time allotted.

Prior to our strategy session, I will send you my “Client Welcome Packet.” This document outlines my office hours, work style, contact information, and policies and procedures. More importantly, the  packet is designed to capture more details about you – allowing ME to immediately start supporting you. Having this information at my fingertips WILL HELP ME ~ HELP YOU! Again, my greatest desire is to provide you with a level service that surpasses your expectations.

After all the T’s are crossed and I’s dotted, let the our adventure begin!
